Birch Polypore + Elderberry Elixir / Immune support + seasonal wellness (alc free)
Small batch, very yummy Elderberry immune support elixir with magical Birch Polypore, gathered from a local forest I’ve been visiting for almost seven years. For this elixir, I’ve also added warming roots + spices, creating a tasty, cosy, and powerful medicine that can be taken throughout autumn + winter to support the immune system. This is a large 300 ml bottle, offering approx 60 servings of the medicine.
Elder, of course, is the star of this elixir, traditionally known to support the immune system, especially during seasonal transitions and at the first signs of cold or flu. Elder is a deep restorative tonic for the immune system and can be used to support daily wellness, during onset of illness, as well as the cardiovascular + respiratory systems. Studies show that Elderberries may have the ability to block viruses from entering our cells, where they would normally replicate. The berries are rich in flavonoids, which are cooling and anti-inflammatory, helping the body to fight cold + flu, as well as protect from excess heat + inflammation. Protection on cellular + energetic levels. Elder is also a strong protective medicine for our spirits, offering energetic boundaries + protection.
Birch Polypore was slowly decocted to extract polysaccharides such as beta-glucans, which are largely responsible for the immune-enhancing + immune-modulating activity. Their fragrance is so beautiful, and they are bitter. This beautiful fungi grows abundantly in my local forest and is one of the most beautiful beings. I am sooo in love. This season, we gathered so many. Birch Poly is a cherished mushroom back home, traditionally worked with as a tonic to support the immune system, address gastrointestinal issues, and as a wound healer. To this day, it is worked with to treat intestinal infections + parasites. There are many studies involving Birch Polypore, some revealing that the fruiting body may posses antitumour activity and may destroy certain harmful cells without harming healthy cells. It has also been shown to offer protection against bacterial + viral infections, reduce inflammation, and support gut health. To me, Birch Polypore holds us when we are healing, cleansing, purging what no longer serves, when we are shedding. They guide us, protect us, and walk with us into new chapters + new beginnings.
Raw honey & warming * aromatic medicines, ginger, cinnamon, star anise + orange peel, added to harmonise, support circulation, digestion, and warmth, and of course they are all beautiful with many medicinal properties.
Ingredients: Elderberry, Birch Polypore, Ginger, Star Anise, Cinnamon, Orange Peel, Lemon, Water, Raw Honey
Refrigerate upon receipt and shake well prior to use. Use within 3 months. Take 1 teaspoon daily as a preventative to support seasonal wellbeing, or at the onset of illness it can be taken every 2–3 hours. As with all herbal remedies, do your own research, connect with plants. Always consult your health care provider if you are on meds, pregnant or breastfeeding.
