Second year of crafting Wise Ones and this years fragrance is everything! One of my fav medicines, this hydrosol is derived from the hydro-steam distillation of the above plant allies, distilled using traditional copper alembic still. The colour is stunning! Marigolds essential oil is deeply felt in this years batch. Each year of crafting hydrosols is so unique. Plants are unique weaving their own spirit, magic + wisdom into each offering. l felt called to offer this hydrosol as a smokeless cleanse to harmonise and purify energy in spaces where smoke cleansing might not be available. No alcohol has been used in this offering, and it can be applied to the face as a mist or toner, allowing you to choose whichever way you feel most called to use it.
Wormwood is a beautiful plant friend with an intoxicating scent, similarly to Mugwort, which has been worked with for thousands of years in folk magic practices focused on purification, cleansing and protection. I started her from seeds few of years ago and every year she comes back in abundance. I truly love her silvery leaves and the beautiful fragrance she brings. All three Artemisias come as protective plant friends, assisting in clearing dense energy, calming the mind and inviting beautiful and insightful dreams. Rosemary and Marigolds help us remember our ancient wisdom while also bringing focused + awakened energy to our minds. Marigolds are one of my favourite flowers( many faves). I adore their strong, musky +pungent smell. They grow in abundance, blessing my medicine garden with their vibrant colours and the fragrance that is carried in the air. Marigolds are Sacred to the Mexican people, often adorning altars during the Day of the Dead. It is believed that the scent of Marigolds allows the spirits and ancestors to travel back to Earth, so they can commune with their families. For me, Marigolds evoke childhood memories, always flourishing in abundance and self-seeding in my nana's allotment.
This hydrosol can be added to baths, clay face masks, as face toner + hair rinse, sprayed around + on the body. I love it as natural deodorant too . Can be used to cleanse floors, altars, crystals, or in any way that you feel intuitively guided to do so.

Hydrosols {latin: hydro meaning water and sol which is solution}: also known as hydrolats, plant waters, or flower waters, are the aromatic water that remains after the process of steam-distilling or hydro-distilling essential oils from plants.
